- Why do believers in Jesus from 150 nations gather to pray together for DPPJ on the first Sunday in October? The source of our faith, both Messianic Jews and Christian believers, is Jesus the Messiah.
- The tree in Romans 11 is Israel and the Gentile believers are the children of Abraham by faith, the “wild olive branch” grafted into the root of God’s covenant.
- Our Biblical mandate, according to Ps. 122:6, is to “pray for the peace of Jerusalem; they shall prosper that love you.”
- Believers are coming together, Jew and Gentile as one, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
- Please come and join others from around the region on Oct 7 at 4 pm, at Beth Messiah Messianic Synagogue.
According to Robert Stearns, who co-chairs this international effort with Jack Hayford, the event now has the support of the "largest known coalition of the foremost Evangelical Christian leaders of influence in the world - all in agreement that now is the time to pray for the Peace of Jerusalem." However, the goal is not only for a yearly prayer event, but an ongoing, sustained effort of global prayer on behalf of Jerusalem. For more news, resources and other information about the Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem, see http://www.daytopray.org/. Please encourage your congregation to participate.
